Re: Conversion from dynamic graph into CSV: possible bug?
Thanks Eduardo. You mean they are (Unix time) x 1000, right? It seems on top of that there is a time zone issue. Anyway I'm sure I can sort this out myself.

Conversion from dynamic graph into CSV: possible bug?
Hello and thanks for your great work on dynamic network analysis. A question: when exporting a dynamic file from Gephi (0.8.2 beta, on a Mac) into CSV it seems to me that some unclear conversion is performed. For example, in the data table I can see, for a certain node, that it exists in the followi...

Creating a random graph with same degree distribution
Hello all, many network metrics make more sense when compared against the benchmark of a random network. The thing is, the Erdos-Renyi is not necessarily the best benchmark for some observed networks, for example in social network analysis: this is because the degree distribution of the E-R can be v...

Re: [TODO] dynamic network metrics
Just a minor note: researchers mainly concerned with social network analysis, are often doomed to dynamic analysis. Many forms of social interaction (like online conversation) produce social structure effects that are limited in time. A more dynamic analysis oriented Gephi would help a lot when stud...

Re: Speed and accuracy of Louvain method in Gephi
Hello all,
can I ask what it means that Louvain is not totally deterministic? On a small network (200 nodes, 1500 edges, weighted with weights being integers) I get different values every time I run the algorithm. Also the number of subcommunities changes, which is a bit unsettling.

Re: SOLVED * Please help: 0.8.1 does not launch on OSX 10.7.
It turns out that – just as happened with OS Leopard – Apple does not pre-install Java in Lion. So I followed these instructions: https://gephi.org/users/install-java-6-mac-os-x-leopard/ And Gephi now starts. My fault. But I guess it would be better to rename the page "Install Java 6 on MacOS Leopar...

Re: Can't get 0.8 beta to run on Mac OS X 10.7.3
Solved! Sorry, it was simply a n00b thing. I assumed the problem of not having Java in Leopard had been solved with Lion. Installing Java as per Gephi's website instructions did the trick:
https://gephi.org/users/install-java-6- ... x-leopard/

Re: Can't get 0.8 beta to run on Mac OS X 10.7.3
Hello Bastian, thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, as I was saying, I don't see any Gephi subdirectory in the Application Support directory. I tried a UNIX search command for *.log, but no messages.log was returned. Where else could I look for it?

Re: Can't get 0.8 beta to run on Mac OS X 10.7.3
Hello Bastian and all, I have 10.7.4 and can't get Gephi started either. I tried Tom's sudo command, but my machine informs me that the file exists.
Also, I have no directory called gephi in
I am really hoping you guys have some ideas here...
