I just fixed the latest version of sigma.js exporter to handle UTF-8 characters correctly on mac/windows (was working previously on linux). You might try this: https://marketplace.gephi.org/plugin/sigmajs-exporter/

Hi skyler7, The sigma.js plugin uses the system default encoding. On my system (linux) this was unicode, but I later learned that Mac/Windows have other defaults still.
